Ingredients

  • salad mix - 5 handfuls (baby spinach, lollo rosso and lollo verde)
  • cherry tomatoes - 8 pcs. (Kumato)
  • avocado - 1 pc.
  • shrimp - 6 blanched pcs.
  • basil - 6 large leaves (fresh)
  • sunflower seeds - 1 - 2 tbsp.
  • sesame seeds - 1 tbsp.
  • balsamic vinegar - by taste
  • olive oil - by taste
  • salt - by taste

How to make

A classic salad, which has the special addition of shrimp and fresh basil. If you haven't tried the combination, I recommend you do.

There is also a touch of surprise, because between the spinach and the rest of the salad leaves, your guests will not notice the basil, but when they taste it in combination with the shrimp, they will be surprised.

To prepare the salad, first keep in mind that this should happen immediately before serving, so that it is fresh. As a last resort, you can prepare the products and flavor it just before serving.

Wash your lettuce leaves and strain them perfectly.

Cut the tomatoes in half, unless they are too small.

Peel and cut the avocado into long thin pieces and also peel and clean the shrimp.

Wrap each shrimp in a basil leaf and prick it with a toothpick. In this case, I used ordinary toothpicks, but when serving for more special occasions, I use the more pleasant looking cocktail sticks.

Put the fresh leaves, tomatoes and avocado in the saladier. Drizzle generously with good olive oil, as much balsamic vinegar as you like, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds and salt. Mix very lightly with your fingers.

Arrange the hidden in a basil leaf shrimp on top and if desired, lightly salt them and drizzle them with olive oil.

Serve the green salad now with a nice drink.
