"Who wants to treat themselves to homemade marshmallows today?"

Ingredients

  • water - 1/2 cup (120 ml)
  • sugar - 7 oz (200 g)
  • gelatin - 1 tbsp (10 g)
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp.
  • powdered sugar - 1 - 2 tbsp.
  • corn starch - 1 - 2 tbsp.

How to make

Dissolve the gelatin in 4 tbsp (60 ml) of the water. In a pot, mix the sugar and the remaining sugar. Boil the mixture and remove it from heat.

Add the gelatin and put it back over the heat. Boil it, while stirring constantly.

Remove it from the heat and leave the mixture to cool. Beat it with mixer on high speed, until it thickens.

Use candy molds and grease them with butter. Sprinkle them with the starch.

Distribute the mixture and leave the candy molds in the refrigerator overnight.

Remove the the marshmallows from the molds and roll them in powdered sugar.

The Homemade Marshmallows are ready.
