Ingredients

  • white flour - 1.1 lb (500 g)
  • milk - about 1 1/2 cups (300 ml)
  • butter - 1.7 oz (50 g)
  • fresh yeast - 1/2 cube (20 g)
  • sugar - 1 tsp.
  • salt - 1/2 tsp.
  • oil - 2 tbsp.

How to make

Dissolve the yeast in a little warm milk and add the sugar and 2 tbsp. flour to it. Set it aside until it rises.

Then mix with salt and the remaining milk, melted butter and the remaining flour.

The resulting mixture is mixed very well and left in a warm place to double its volume. Then mix it once more and divide into several balls. They are left to sit for about half an hour.

Then by hand each ball needs to be shaped like a baguette. All of the baguettes are placed in a greased and floured baking tray.

Bake in a preheated oven at 360°F (180 degrees) until they're fully baked.

These homemade baguettes are wonderful.
