How to make
Take the soft French Camembert cheese out of the fridge 30 minutes before you start cooking it.
Heat a small non-stick (and thick-bottomed) frying pan over high heat, but not the maximum high heat, so that the cheese doesn't burn.
Melt the butter in the heated pan and add the Camembert. When its crust becomes dark golden, turn it over, by adding the other spoonful of butter.
Bake again, until it aquires a golden color, then take it out and place it into a plate.
Spread it with cherry jam on top, whose sweet and sour taste goes well beautifully with the aromatic cheese. Garnish it with gooseberry and plums.
If desired, you can sprinkle it with crunchy walnuts, I usually do that, but this time I skipped adding them, because I didn't have any.
Serve and eat the baked cheese while it is warm.
The Baked Camembert with Butter and Cherry Jam is ready.
Quick, easy, delicious and very sophisticated!
