How to make
Oven - 390°F (200°C);
Flat tray with baking paper.
Buttermilk - 1 cup = 240 ml. For it, add 2 tbsp. of lemon juice in the milk and leave it for about 10 minutes;
You can also work with a mixer.
In a bowl, mix the two types of flour, salt and soda. Add the butter in cubes and rub with a hand held blender or fingers, until a crumbly mixture is obtained.
In a bowl, beat the egg and buttermilk.
Pour the flour into the bowl of the mixer, make a well and start to beat the buttermilk and knead the dough at low speed. The finished dough is taken out, placed on a lightly floured surface and formed into a nice ball - about 40°F (5 cm) thick.
It is patted on top to look like bread. Place it in a flat tray with baking paper. With a sharp knife, make deep cross-cuts along the entire length of the dough and drill 4 holes in the corners of the bread.
Spread it with the remaining buttermilk and lightly sprinkle it with muesli.
Bake at 410°F (210°C) for 15 minutes and another 370°F (190°C) - 30 minutes.
The Original Irish Bread is ready.
