How to make

The oranges washed very well with hot water. Peel the oranges with a vegetable peeler. Put the peels in a pot and pour cold water over them.

Boil them on the stove, after 1-2 minutes strain the water and pour water again. Repeat this procedure 3 times. Strain the peels from the water.

Mix 3 cups of sugar with 1.5 cups of water. Boil the mixture and leave it to simmer over low heat for 8-9 minutes. Stir occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Add the orange peels.

Let the mixture simmer for about 45 minutes (do not stir, because you can crystallize the sugar in the syrup). If necessary, shake the pot to adjust the peels.

Strain and take out the peels and place them onto baking paper. Roll or sprinkle them with granulated sugar. Leave them to dry for 4-5 hours.

Put them in a glass jar, close them well and store them in refrigerator.
