How to make
The oranges wash very nicely. They are peeled and the white part is removed from each peel. Only the orange part should remain.
The peels are placed in a pot and covered with cold water. They are placed on the stove and after boiling, the water is poured out. They are filled with water again and after the water boils, it is poured out again. This is repeated a total of 3-4 times.
After the peels are boiled and strained, pour 3.4 fl oz (100 ml) of water and add the sugar.
Place the orange peels back on the stove and stir occasionally.
Boil until the syrup thickens and isn't runny.
The candied orange peels are transferred into a warmed jar, which is turned upside down, until it cools completely.
