  • smoked mackerel - 1 small dried fish (180 g whole)
  • parsley - 4 stalks
  • garlic - 2 cloves
  • eggs - 2 pcs.
  • lemon - 1 pc.
  • olive oil - 6 - 8 tbsp. (or by taste)

How to make

This delicious salad with fish can be considered one of the winter salads due to the presence of boiled potatoes and carrots and the mackerel is dried and smoked.

This, of course, does not prevent it from being consumed during the summer season, as the lemon and parsley make it fresh enough and it is ideal with a glass of good cold white wine or brandy.

To begin, boil the potatoes and carrots and peel them.

Boil both eggs separately and also peel them.

Cut the potatoes into thin circles and arrange them in two plates in the shape of a circle or flower. Sprinkle them with olive oil, chopped garlic and parsley and very little salt, since the smoked and dried fish is quite salty.

Cut the boiled carrots into circles and arrange them on the sides of the potatoes.

Also cut the eggs in circles and place them on the potatoes. Sprinkle again with garlic, parsley and olive oil, as well as lemon juice (set aside lemon rings for decoration).

To culminate the appetizing potato salad, shred the smoked mackerel meat and place it on top. Make sure you clean the fish well from the fine bones.

Drizzle it with lemon juice again and serve this sumptuous fish salad.
