How to make

In order to prepare homemade yeast you will need to mix 4-5 tbsp. of flour with the same amount of water. Pour it into a jar without closing it tightly and allow air to enter. Leave it for a day. If you do it in the winter, cover it to keep it warm.

Add another 2 tbsp. of flour and water again. It is good to add that amount to the yeast every day, until you finally see how it has activated and has risen, by filling the jar.

To make fresh yeast dough bread, wait for it to activate. Set aside 2.1 oz (60 g) of it, put the rest in the fridge, for the next time you need it.

Sift the flour into a large bowl, pour warm water and stir. Leave it for an hour, add sugar and yeast. Add salt to the flour.

Knead an elastic bread dough. Leave it to rise for a few hours and shape it. You can leave it for 7-8 hours or overnight.

Make a few cuts on the delicious homemade bread and bake it at 390°F (200 degrees) until it aquires a golden color.

Cover it with a towel as soon as the fresh yeast bread is ready.
