How to make
Put water and tomato puree in a pan or another cookware with suitable deep walls.
Clean, wash and grate the onions on a coarse grater.
Chop the hot pepper very finely and also add it and if you don't like very spicy food, skip this step or replace it with half of a red pepper.
Season with 1 bay leaf, cinnamon and 3 cloves.
Press the garlic and add it to the other products for the sauce.
Finally, add the butter and grate as much of the ginger as you like.
Place the pan on a medium heat. Let the meat sauce simmer for about half an hour, while stirring several times during this time.
Once it's ready, you can strain the Indian meat sauce if you like, but it's not necessary.
