How to make
This is a very fragrant and cooling homemade fig leaf syrup and it is also quite a healthy drink.
Put the well-washed leaves in a pot and pour water over them.
Boil them for 30 minutes. I leave the leaves to soak all night.
The next day I strain the liquid. A kilogram of sugar is added per liter of liquid.
I boiled the fig syrup with sugar for 30 minutes and 10 minutes before removing it from the heat, I cut 1 lemon and added it.
According to the recipe is 1 tsp of citric acid per liter of liquid, but I used fresh lemon to make the refreshing syrup.
