"Marinated mushrooms are so delicious that no matter how many we make, there`s never enough for everyone!"

Ingredients

  • mushrooms - 6.5 lb (3 kg) chanterelle, and boletus
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • vinegar - 1 cup
  • vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • black pepper - 3 - 4 peppercorns
  • bay leaf - 1
  • allspice - 2 - 3 grains

How to make

Clean the mushrooms and wash them thoroughly, then place in boiling water for 10-odd minutes. The softened mushrooms are then drained, cut into pieces and put in jars of 28 oz (800 ml), in which you've previously put 1 bay leaf, and 3-4 black peppercorns, allspice berries, salt, vegetable oil and 1 cupful of vinegar.

Dilute the mixture with water, close the jars with caps and sterilize for 1 hour (after the water boils).
