Ingredients

  • fresh orange juice - 1/2 cup
  • orange peel - from 1 orange
  • sugar - 1 1/4 cup
  • eggs - 4 pcs.
  • cocoa - 4 tsp.
  • baking powder - 1 sachet
  • oil - 1/3 cup
  • flour - 2 1/3 cups
  • oil - for greasing

How to make

Sift the flour through a sieve.

In a bowl, separate and put 3 egg whites from 4 eggs.

Beat them with a mixer until the mixture foams up. Add 1/4 sugar in the mixture and beat it well.

Then add 1/3 cup of flour and 1/3 of the packet of baking powder and beat the mixture again with a mixer until it's smooth.

In another bowl, separate 4 yolks and 1 whole egg and beat them with a mixer along with 1 cup of sugar very well.

Cut 1 large orange in half and squeeze its juice. You need 1/2 cup of freshly squeezed orange juice. Put it inside the mixture and beat it with a mixer. Add the oil and 2 cups of flour along with 2/3 of the baking powder.

Beat very well. Grate the orange peel with a grater.

Divide the mixture into 2 parts.

Put cocoa in one of them and mix it with a spatula.

In the other one, put the orange peels and mix it with a spatula.

Grease a bundt cake tin with oil and sprinkle it with flour. Pour the cocoa mixture. Next is the orange peel mixture and then the white mixture.

Smooth out the orange sponge cake and place in the oven preheated to 340°F (170 degrees) until it's ready (about 40 minutes).

Once the colorful sponge cake with orange juice is ready, take it out and cut it into thick pieces. Sprinkle it with lots of powdered sugar.
