How to make
In a bowl, beat eggs and sugar until foamy and white. Add the oil in a slow stream and then gradually the flour mixed with baking powder.
Once a homogeneous mixture is obtained, add the vanilla and the baked kadaif, which is previously broken into large pieces by hand. The Turkish pastry is placed in a pan previously greased with oil.
Sprinkle with chopped walnuts on top. Bake at 360°F (180°C) for 20-25 minutes.
The syrup is prepared by placing the sugar, water and lemon in a pot and letting it boil for 10 minutes. After baking, the pastry is poured with the syrup. Pour the cold syrup over the hot pastry.
This kadaif pastry is uniquely delicious and juicy. Try it! It is in no way inferior to Dubai chocolate!
