How to make
Boil the macaroni in boiling and slightly salted water for 8 min., drain out the water and pour in cold water, then drain it out again. This is done to halt the process of boiling of the macaroni, to separate them from each other.
Smear the tray with part of the soft butter and distribute the strained macaroni on top.
Separately, beat the eggs with the sugar and vanillas, pour the cold milk into them. Pour the mixture over the macaroni and stir.
Cut the remaining butter over the mixture and sprinkle evenly with 4 tbsp sugar.
Put the tray in a preheated 340°F (170 °C) oven and bake until it gains a crunchy caramel crust on top.
Serve cooled!
Tip: When making mac in the oven, don't skimp on the milk and eggs, otherwise you risk the mac ending up dry.
