"Try these exceptionally alluring, amazing and enticing muffins with jam! They`ll all be gone by tomorrow, I promise!"

Ingredients

  • flour - 4/5 cup (200 g)
  • sugar - 1/2 cup (120 g)
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • milk - 2/3 cup (165 ml)
  • eggs - 1, large
  • butter - 2/5 cup (100 g) melted or cooled, can use oil
  • essence - 1 ampule, citrus
  • sweet - thick, optional
  • butter - for smearing the muffins

How to make

Sift the flour, baking powder and salt. Beat the eggs with the oil and sugar to a fluffy cream. Add the flour, milk, essence and homogenize, without beating too much.

Pour the mixture into prepared muffin forms - a tray laid out with muffin holders, slightly oiled. Pour the mixture into the holders, 2/3 of the way up into each.

Put a small spoon of thick jam in the middle of each muffin. If it's a bit runnier it will sink to the bottom and the muffins aren't going to turn out well.

Bake the ready muffins in a 360°F (180 °C) oven about 25 min. or until ready. Smear the baked muffins with a dab of butter on top, make a glaze if you like as well.
