There are many plant-based analogues of milk of animal origin - from soy, rice, buckwheat, walnuts and others. They were created for many reasons:
- With age, some people become intolerant to lactose (milk sugar), ie. the body stops separating it;
- For many people, animal protein causes allergies;
- In recent years, more and more people are becoming vegetarians and refuse regular milk, because of their beliefs.
Soy Milk
The most popular milk substitute is the soy drink. It is enriched with calcium and vitamins B12 and D2. It consists of water, soy, cane sugar and various enhancers and flavors, so it has a faint vanilla flavor. It is also white in color and very easy to consume: drink it gradually and satisfy your hunger and you will not feel any heaviness. The numbers speak for themselves: 39 kcal per 100 ml.
Brown rice milk
It is made from organically grown brown rice and has a specific beige-gray color. It does not contain sugar and consists of 97.5% of brown rice extract and 2.5% of soy protein. As for the consistency, it is not thicker than that of water. To prepare rice milk with muesli you need to add fruit, mix them in a blender and then you will get an excellent light cocktail. By the way, the cocktail is very healthy, because brown rice is considered one of the most healthy cereals and its milk contains many nutrients.
Buckwheat milk
This delicious gluten-free buckwheat milk is just like the soy drink. It smells a lot of buckwheat and tastes sweet. The drink contains water, buckwheat 15%, sunflower oil and rice syrup, which provides the incredible sweetness of the milk. However, it completely quenches thirst and hunger due to its high content of plant proteins.
Almond milk
Almond milk is white and not only smells like almonds, but also contains small particles of them. Its taste is perfect and is the same as homemade almond milk. It contains water, agave syrup and corn flour - not flavors and flavor enhancers.
Hazelnut milk
Hazelnut milk does not contain lactose and animal fats, artificial flavors, colors and preservatives. And although the composition again includes sugar, natural stabilizers and emulsifiers, the taste of the drink is magical. Moderately sweet and very specific, its texture is as dense as possible out of all of the above. It contains calcium and vitamins B2, B12, D and E. In addition, it perfectly quenches thirst and satiates.
