How to Bake a Cake Layer?

Prepare a mixture for a cake layer of your choice, according to the cake you have decided to prepare. Whether you decide to make an easy walnut cake or a quick chocolate cake, the cake layers are baked in the same way.

First, prepare the cake layer mixture according to the recipe you use, then divide the mixture into bowls in equal parts, according to the number of layers you will need.

Grab a baking pan, on the bottom of which baking paper is placed and if you like you can grease it with oil. Pour the mixture from one of the bowls into the baking pan, smooth it out with a spatula or with the back of a spoon to make it even.

Bake it in a preheated oven at 160 to 180 degrees on the lower and upper rack. This way the cake layer is baked evenly inside and out. Bake it until it's ready and the baking time depends on the thickness of the cake layer.

If you think that the cake layer is too thick and can burn during baking and the inside remains raw, you can cover the baking pan with aluminum foil, which can then be removed.

It can be checked periodically with a toothpick, to see how well the cake layer is baked, by piercing it with a toothpick and turn it inside of it and when you take out the toothpick, there should be nothing left on it.

When the cake layer is ready, carefully remove it from the baking pan and even it out with a knife. The baked cake layer is left to cool and it is stored in a box with a lid until the remaining cake layers are baked in the same way.
