"A pumpkin needs 6 months to turn into the perfect container for baking meat."

Ingredients

  • pumpkins - about 3.5 lb (1.5 kg)
  • pork - about 14 oz (400 g)
  • caraway - 2 pinches
  • black pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • soy sauce - 1 - 2 tbsp
  • oil - 6 - 8 tbsp
  • ginger - 1/2 tsp dry, optional
  • thyme - 1 sprig
  • garlic - 4 cloves
  • onions - 2 heads
  • corn - 7 oz (200 g)
  • mushrooms - 7 oz (200 g)

How to make

Clean the pumpkin, cut its top off and remove the seeds. Salt the pumpkin inside and one hour after, rinse it.

Heat the oil and fry the crushed onions, add the chopped meat in a little while. Fry the meat, add the chopped mushrooms and garlic with soy sauce and corn.

Mix well and season with spices, optionally you can add a little dried ginger to taste.

Fill the pumpkin once the filling is ready.

Put it to bake for about 2 hours in an oven preheated to 300°F (150 °C).
