"Don`t invite guests when making these because you`re not gonna want to share these tender Pork Steaks with anyone."

Ingredients

  • pork steaks - 3.5 lb (1.5 kg), from the neck, deboned
  • mayonnaise - 1 1/3 cups (320 g)
  • dijon mustard - 6 tbsp
  • onions - 14 oz (400 g)
  • cheese - 9 oz (250 g)
measures

How to make

The result from this recipe is always the same - incomparably tasty holiday steaks!

Smear the tray in which you'll be baking the steaks generously with mayonnaise - bottom and sides.

Without tenderizing the steaks beforehand, smear them with the mustard on all sides and arrange tightly next to each other in the tray.

Clean the onions (larger heads are preferred, to make things easier) and chop them into slices about 1/8 thick. Cover the steaks tightly with the onion slices, smear the rest of the mayonnaise evenly on top.

Cover the tray with plastic wrap and leave in the fridge for at least 30 min. to marinate the meat.

Once the steaks are marinated, put the tray in a preheated 390°F (200 °C) oven for about 1 hour.

Grate the cheese on a coarse grater, sprinkle the steaks with it toward the end and bake a final 5 min. to obtain a golden color.

Serve in serving plates with finely chopped green onions.

Bon appetit!
