"An outstanding, very easy and slightly different recipe for eggs in the oven."

Ingredients

  • onions - 3 heads
  • peppers - 3 large
  • garlic - 3 cloves
  • butter - 2/3 cup (150 g)
  • feta cheese - 7 oz (200 g)
  • eggs - 12
  • black pepper - to taste
  • salt - to taste
  • bread - 1

How to make

Chop the onions, garlic and peppers finely.

Heat half the butter in a pan, add the chopped veggies and braise 3-4 min. on high heat, take the veggies out and distribute them evenly along the bottom of an oven dish. Sprinkle with the crumbled feta cheese on top.

Cut the bread into slices, the slices into cubes.

In the same pan, heat the remaining butter and drop the cubes in while stirring nonstop. Braise to a golden color and distribute them evenly over the feta cheese in the oven dish.

On top of the bread cubes, break the eggs 1 by 1 like little nests, with some space in between them.

Sprinkle them with salt and black pepper to taste, put the oven dish in a preheated 360°F (180 °C) oven and bake 10-15 min.
