"A fun way to decorate Easter eggs via decoupage. Be sure to try it!!"

Ingredients

  • eggs - 20
  • napkins - white
  • salt
  • vinegar
  • dye - 6 colors, for eggs
measures

How to make

Arrange the eggs in a large pot with 1 tbsp salt. Pour cold water over them and put on the stove on medium heat. Once the water comes to a boil, boil for 10 min. and take off the stove. Take the eggs out and pour cold water over them.

Arrange pitchers, put 1 color in each and pour hot water from an electric kettle in them. Stir to dissolve the dye and pour in 1-2 tbsp vinegar for a more saturated color. Put a pure white napkin onto a plate and drip some of each color on it. Place a boiled egg in it and wrap it with the wet napkin.

Leave it for 4-5 min. Next, remove the napkin - you're left with a beautifully colored egg. Rub each egg with a cotton piece, dipped in oil, for a nice shine. Arrange them in a basket or other container with fake grass.

Another popular way to decorate eggs nowadays is to draw flowers, spirals, crosses, etc. on the eggs with a candle before dying them. Then drop them in the different dyes and you'll get wonderful patterns. Have a Happy Easter everyone!
