"The classic recipes for phyllo pastries have been done to death. So if you`re tired of them, now`s the time to try something new!"

Ingredients

  • carbonated water - 4/5 cup (200 ml)
  • oil - 1/2 cup (120 ml)
  • baking powder - 1
  • eggs - 6
  • feta cheese - 10.5 oz (300 g)
  • phyllo pastry - 18 oz (500 g) sheets
measures

How to make

Beat the eggs in a bowl and to them add the oil, crumbled feta cheese, baking powder and carbonated water.

Take the phyllo pastry sheets out of the packet and cut them into 3/4″ (2 cm) thick pieces, just as they are - rolled up. Spread them out well with your hands to form strips and put them in the bowl with the egg mixture.

Mix up everything so that the strips of phyllo pastry get entirely soaked and covered with the mixture.

Smear a cake form with a little oil and pour in the mixture. Put it in a 340°F (170 °C) oven for about 40 min.

After baking, take it out of the oven, slide a knife carefully along the sides of the form to unstick it and immediately take it out.

If you leave it to cool, it's going to be really hard for you to take it out of the form later.
