"Surely you know the latest craze is eating both tasty and healthy."

Ingredients

  • flour - 2 cups, of your choice (rye, whole wheat, flax and white)
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • honey - 1 tsp or muscovado
  • salt
  • butter - 2 1/3 tbsp (35 g)
  • sunflower seeds - and pumpkin seeds, if desired
  • zaatar - 1 - 2 pinches
  • milk - about 1 1/2 cups
measures

How to make

In a bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, honey and salt. Pass the butter through the mixture and add the seeds and zaatar.

Pour in the milk (depending on the flour you may have to add more or a little less milk) and stir with a wooden spoon.

With a little more flour, form the dough into a ball and press on it lightly to flatten it.

With a knife, make a cross from end to end, nearly all the way through the pita to obtain 4 identical pieces but don't separate them completely.

Bake in a preheated 370°F (190°С) oven with the fan on for about 35 min.
