How to make
Sift the flour into a deep bowl with the salt, baking powder, vanilla and cocoa. In another bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar, oil and rum. Extinguish the soda in the yoghurt and add them to the mixture.
Mix the liquid and dry ingredients from the 2 bowls, stirring constantly, and gradually pour in hot water to form a thick cake batter. Break the chocolate into coarse pieces, clean the strawberries from their stems and wash them.
Pour the cake mixture into a tray with a diameter of 10″ (26 cm), pre-greased with oil. Place the strawberries standing upright into the mixture, some distance from each other, and sprinkle the chocolate on top gently without stirring. The density of the dough will not allow the chocolate to sink and it will remain on the surface of the cake.
Bake in a preheated 320°F (160 °C) oven for 60 minutes or until ready. Finally, if desired, sprinkle it with powdered sugar.
