How to make
Heat the oven to 370°F (190 °C). Butter a rectangular baking dish.
Smear each phyllo pastry sheet with the melted butter and arrange in the dish. Cut the figs and arrange them on top.
Sift the flour into a bowl and mix with the sugar. Add the eggs and a little of the milk.
Stir well and pour in the remaining milk and almond essence. Pour it on top in the dish and bake for 1 hour. Cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
