Ingredients

  • pork leg - 1 pc.
  • potatoes - 0.9 lb (400 g)
  • carrots - 1
  • onion - 1
  • garlic cloves - 5 pcs.
  • oil/olive oil
  • paprika - 2 tsp.
  • smoked paprika - 2 tsp.
  • fenugreek - 1 tsp.
  • cumin - 1 tsp.
  • black pepper - to taste
  • salt - to taste

How to make

Pork with potatoes - who doesn't love it! This is a classic, prepared in the most delicious way!

Peel and wash the potatoes and carrots.

Cut the potatoes into thick strips and arrange them in the baking dish. It can be a casserole, pot or pan. Cut the carrots and onions into larger pieces and add them to the potatoes, separating the individual pieces of onion and adding them to the dish.

Stir the vegetables and continue with the spices for the meat. In a separate bowl, combine all the spices and mix them.

Sprinkle the meat with the spice mix so that it is covered on all sides. If you have any spices left, you can pour them over the vegetables. Add oil to them and mix them.

In the middle of the dish, make space for the meat, leaving some potatoes at the bottom, on which you can place the meat. Place it in the vegetables, add the garlic cloves around/under it and it is ready for the oven. Add a little red wine or beer, so that the potatoes and pork casserole have an even better flavor.

Roast at 320°F (160°C), for a minimum of 3 hours. For a better result, you can roast the pork with potatoes at a lower temperature (140°C) for a longer time (5-7 hours).
