How to make
Beat the soft butter with the sugar.
Add the eggs one by one, the fresh milk and the rum essence.
Sift the flour with the baking powder and add to the mixture.
Transfer to a cake tin on baking paper.
Place pitted cherries on top.
The fruit cake is baked at 360°F (180°C) for about half an hour. The finished cake is sprinkled with powdered sugar.
The butter cherry cake is ready.
