How to make

The bacon is cut into small pieces and fried in a dry pan.

Take it out, put it on a plate, and in the pan, add the butter to the fat that has been released.

The roosters are fried on both sides until golden. They are taken out, sprinkled with salt on the outside and inside, then transferred to a ceramic dish (in this case, a crock pot).

Put the chopped onion, carrot and garlic in the pan. After a short stir, add the sliced mushrooms.

After the vegetables are fried, sprinkle them with a little flour and red pepper, stir, add the tomato sauce, salt to taste, dry thyme, oregano, sage and half a tea cup of water.

After a short cooking, the sauce is poured over the roosters. Add the fried bacon, bay leaves, black pepper and white wine.

The slow cooker is turned on to the second setting and the French Roosters are cooked for three hours.

Slow cooking makes the meat extremely tender and tasty.

The french-style rooster stew is served with mashed potatoes.
