How to make
I cut two small zucchini, without peeling them, into thin slices. I sprinkled the zucchini with salt and mixed them.
I strained and cut two balls of mozzarella into thin pieces as well.
I used chilled puff pastry that I rolled out and placed on the paper.
I cut two strips from it, and put the rest of the puff pastry along with the paper into a rectangular baking pan, which is a little smaller than the puff pastry.
This is how a small boarder is formed.
I pierced the dough with a fork and spread it with a few spoons of homemade pizza and pasta sauce. I did not add other spices because the sauce is quite aromatic, but you can add spices to your taste.
I arranged zucchini slices on top of the sauce, alternating them with mozzarella slices and overlapping them slightly.
I sprinkled the zucchini generously with grated parmesan and drizzled with a little olive oil.
I arranged the cut strips of puff pastry on top like a grid.
I put the savory pie to bake in a preheated oven at 390°F (200°C) for about 50 minutes or until golden brown.
The Savory Zucchini Puff Pastry Pie is ready.
