  • puff pastry - 1 sheet
  • tomatoes - 4 - 5 pcs. round (medium - sized)
  • grated parmesan - 1.8 oz (50 g)
  • breadcrumbs - large for sprinkling
  • provencal herbs (optional)
  • dijon mustard
  • garlic powder - for sprinkling
  • salt flakes - for sprinkling
  • black pepper - for sprinkling
  • fresh basil

How to make

Oven - 390°F (200°C).

Flat baking pan covered with baking paper.

A large sheet of puff pastry is placed directly on the paper in the flat baking pan. Fold the edges on all sides (about 0.5 cm) , in order form a small boarder. It is pierced with a fork.

Using a brush, smear the entire base with mustard. Sprinkle it with garlic powder - the amount is optional.

Grate the parmesan and spread it everywhere on top. Sprinkle and spread the large breadcrumbs. Set them aside until use.

Cut the tomatoes into slices. Arrange the breadcrumbs, by slightly overlapping.

Sprinkle with Provencal herbs. Drizzle with a little olive oil, sprinkle with as much salt flakes and black pepper as you like.

The savory tart is baked at 390°F (200°C) for about 20-23 minutes. Remove it from the oven and sprinkle it with fresh basil.
