Ingredients

  • filo pastry sheets - 9 oz (250 g)
  • pumpkin - 15 oz (420 g), peeled, cleaned from seeds
  • plums - 9 oz (250 g) blue or red (Santa Rosa)
  • oil - 6 tbsp.
  • eggs - 1 large egg
  • milk - 3.7 fl oz (110 ml)
  • sugar - 4.2 oz (120 g) according to taste

How to make

Turn on the oven to heat up to 360°F (180°C) without fan.

Grate the pumpkin and plums or grind them into fine pieces in a blender on medium speed so they don't become mushy.

Mix the pumpkin and plums with the sugar and oil. If you want it more greasy, you can add more fat.

In a suitable greased rectangular baking pan, put one filo pastry sheet folded in two, spread evenly from the filling and place another folded sheet. Proceed in this way until you run out of products and of course, finishing off with a sheet.

Cut the pastry into squares and pour the egg beaten with a spoonful of sugar and milk over it.

Place it in the preheated oven and bake until golden brown.

Serve the delicious filo pastry pie with pumpkin and plums warm or cold.
