  • potatoes - 3.3 lb (1.5 kg)
  • filo pastry sheets - 1.1 lb (500 g)
  • white cheese - 1.1 lb (500 g)
  • oil - 1/2 cup
  • butter - 2.8 oz (80 g)

How to make

Boil the potatoes in salted water, peel them and leave them to cool. Grate them on a coarse grater and add the crumbled white cheese, oil and as much black pepper as you like. Stir the products carefully.

Grease the bottom of a suitable baking pan. Arrange two of the filo pastry sheets on top, sprinkle them with the stuffing, cover them with another filo pastry sheet and apply another layer of stuffing. Repeat, until you run out of products and finish off with two filo pastry sheets.

With a sharp knife cut filo pastry pie into rhombuses. Add pieces of butter in the holes. Bake the filo pastry pie for about 35 minutes in a preheated oven at 390°F (200°C).
