How to make

Cut the leek into slices and they are stewed in a little olive oil until they soften.

Beat the eggs with the yogurt, oil, butter. In a separate bowl, prepare the cheese filling, which is crumbled and mixed with the egg, the stewed leeks and the spoonful of yogurt.

Spread each filo pastry sheet with the liquid mixture. Bring the sides together in the center and add 1-2 tablespoons of the filling and wrap with the edges of the filo pastry sheets.

Turn the leek filo pastry pie over and place it on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Spread it with the rest of the liquid mixture.

Sprinkle with poppy seeds if desired.

Bake the Turkish filo pastry pie with leeks at 360°F (180°C) in a preheated oven for about 30 minutes until a nice golden brown color is obtained.
