How to make

Twisted Filo Pastry Pie with Leeks and Cheese - a family favorite. It's prepared in no time!

Start with the leeks, by cutting them into quarters. Fry them with a little paprika and salt. When they soften, remove them from the heat and set them aside for later. Beat the eggs and add the crumbled cheese. Add the yogurt on top, along with the soda, and let it activate, then stir. In the meantime, melt the butter.

Spread out the filo pastry sheets one on top of the other and start by spreading one sheet with the butter, then turn it over. Sprinkle 3-4 tablespoons of the onion and egg mixture on it, distributing it evenly over the sheet. Roll up 2 filo pastry sheets per roll.

The first one is rolled up like a snail and placed in the middle of the baking tray. We repeat the process until you run out of the filling, wrapping each subsequent roll around the previous one.

When ready, lightly pierce and spread the twisted filo pastry pie on top with the remaining butter and filling. Bake at 360°F (180°C) in a preheated oven until it is nicely browned.
