Ingredients

  • butter - 4.2 oz (120 g)
  • oil - 1/2 cup (120 ml)
  • brown sugar - 10.5 oz (300 g)
  • eggs - 3 pcs.
  • flour - 11 oz (320 g)
  • baking soda - 2 tsp.
  • buttermilk - 1 cup (250 ml)
  • vinegar - 1 tbsp (15 ml)
  • red confectionery paint - 3 tbsp (45 ml)
  • For the cream
  • cream cheese - 1.3 lb (600 g)
  • butter - 7 oz (200 g)
  • powdered sugar - 7 oz (200 g)
  • vanilla powder - 2 pcs. (0.2 g) or essence (4 - 5 drops)

How to make

In a deep bowl, beat the butter with the sugar until creamy.

Add the eggs one by one.

In a separate bowl, beat the oil and paint.

Pour into the butter mixture and add the vinegar and little by little add the buttermilk with the soda and the flour.

After they are well beaten, divide the mixture into 3 parts.

Bake separately for 25 minutes.

For the Red Velvet cream, beat the products that are at room temperature.

Assemble the classic cake by alternating sponge cake and cream until you run out of the products.

Cut it into pieces and decorate the red velvet cakes as you like.
