Ingredients

  • prawns - 16 pcs. (large, size 16/20)
  • white wine - 4/5 cup (200 ml)
  • passata - 2/5 cup (100 ml) grated fresh tomatoes
  • extra vergin olive oil - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 ml)
  • garlic - 4 - 5 cloves
  • baguette - 1 pc. (or 6 slices of bread)
  • salt
  • black pepper - to taste
  • basil
  • parsley - to taste

How to make

Prawns Provencale is a delicate combination of prawns fried in olive oil with garlic, tomatoes with basil and served with a baguette.

Wash the prawns well.

Heat the olive oil and the chopped garlic cloves in a pan and fry them for a minute on moderate heat.

Add the prawns and once they have lightly browned, add the wine and the passata tomato sauce with a little basil and parsley.

Cook until the shrimp turn acquire an appetizing color on all sides - about 8-10 minutes and the sauce is cooked.

Prawns Provencale are a real perfect balance of flavors!

These prawns in sauce are served with a sliced baguette.
