Ingredients

  • fine filo pastry sheets - 1/2 package (9 oz ~ 250 g)
  • apples - 8 pcs.
  • sugar - 9 tbsp.
  • cinnamon - 1/4 tsp.
  • vanilla sugar - 2 tbsp.
  • oil - for spreading

How to make

Clean the apples and grate them without peeling them. In a suitable bowl, mix 8 tbsp. sugar, cinnamon and vanilla sugar.

Place one filo pastry sheet on the counter and spread it with oil. Put a second one on top, smear it with oil, place a third one and also smear it with oil.

Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of sugar evenly on top and distribute 2-3 tablespoons of grated apples. Roll them up, then shape it into a snail and place in a tray covered with a sheet of baking paper.

In the same way, prepare the other filo pastry sheets for the apple strudel and arrange them around the first one.

Spread oil on top and sprinkle with 1 tbsp. sugar.

Bake the Cinnamon and Vanilla Strudel in an oven heated to 300°F (150°C) for about 10 minutes, then increase to 390°F (200°C) and bake the delicious pastry for another 20 minutes.
