How to make
The spring onions and garlic are cleaned and finely chopped. They are fried in a pan with heated oil and butter.
After a short stir, add the chopped spinach. The vegetables are cooked until they change color, add salt to taste and ground black pepper.
Beat one egg and the egg white of the second in a bowl. Add the crumbled white cheese and the cooled spinach. Mix the mixture well and set it aside.
The puff pastry is rolled out slightly and spread in a baking pan so that there is a border. The hanging ends are cut with scissors and saved for decoration.
Spread the spinach, egg and white cheese filling over the puff pastry crust.
Strips are cut from the remaining crust and arranged like a grid on the spinach pie.
The yolk is beaten and with the help of a brush, the strips of dough are smeared.
The beautiful spinach puff pastry pie is baked in a preheated oven at 390°F (200°C) for 40 minutes.
