How to make
Cut the cabbage into small pieces and put it in a deep pot on the heat. Add to it 2-3 tbsp. oil and 2/5 cup (100 ml) water.
Stew it until it softens, by stirring occasionally. Finely chop the onion. In a deep pan, heat 2-3 tbsp. oil and fry the onion, until golden.
Wash the rice, strain it from the water and add it to the onion. Fry it, until it becomes transparent.
Add the finely chopped garlic, paprika, black pepper, savory herb and bay leaves.
Stir and add the cabbage. Add as much salt as you like and mix again, then transfer the entire contents into a baking pan.
Pour 3 cups of warm water and put the baking pan in a heated oven at 390°F (200°C).
Cook for about 20 minutes. Remove the baking pan and arrange sliced tomatoes on top, then place it back into the oven.
Cook for another 20 minutes, until it's done. Take out the oven-baked rice and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley.
The oven-baked vegan cabbage with rice is ready.
