How to make
To prepare the favorite linzers, combine all the ingredients without the jam in a bowl and mix them, until the mixture turns into coarse crumbs.
Then divide the mixture into 3 parts. Wrap each part in foil for fresh storage and leave them in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
Roll out the dough onto a floured surface and cut it with cookie cutters into the desired shapes.
Half of the cookies should have a hole in the middle.
Bake them for 10 minutes in a preheated oven at 360°F (180°C), by making sure they don't burn.
When the Classic Linzers are ready, take them out of the oven and let them cool on a wire rack.
Then sprinkle the cookies, which have a hole, with powdered sugar.
Finally stick the cookies together with jam of choice.
