How to make
Mix all of the ingredients, except the jam and 1 egg, into dough.
Spread out a little more than half the dough into a greased and sprinkled with flour cake form and smear it with jam.
Put the rest of the dough on top in the form of a grid pattern or snail shell shapes.
Smear with the egg on top and bake in a moderately heated oven for about 40 minutes.
Instead of jam, you can use chopped dates, raisins, walnuts or almonds, powdered sugar, egg and rum.
