  • gül kadaif - 12 oz (350 g)
  • brown sugar - 2.2 lb (1 kg)
  • goat milk - 2 cups (500 ml)
  • water - 2 cups (500 ml)
  • ghee - 1 tbsp.
  • lemon juice - 5 drops

How to make

The fresh goat milk is warmed slightly and removed from the heat. Brown sugar is added.

Mix very well and leave the sugar to melt, then add the water.

Put it on the stove and by stirring continuously, boil it, until it reaches its boiling point. After it boils, add the lemon juice and ghee.

Stir the syrup very well and boil on medium heat for 10 minutes, then remove it from the heat.

Leave it to cool and cover it with a lids. The water droplets that form on the lid will sweeten the syrup.

The pot with the syrup is covered with a lattice lid. After it cools down, pour half the syrup over each piece.

Leave it to soak for 10 minutes, then add some more syrup to the delicious kadaif.

It is left to soak, by periodically adding syrup, if necessary.
