How to make
Beat the soft butter with the two types of sugar using a mixer.
Add the eggs one at a time, mix, then add the essence, lemon juice and peel.
Chocolate drops and sifted flour with baking powder are added to the mixture.
Knead a slightly sticky dough. Put it in a bag and leave it for an hour in the refrigerator.
Shape balls onto baking paper, press them lightly and make patterns on top of the butter biscuits with a fork or with the egg cutter.
Bake the chocolate biscuits in a preheated oven at 360°F (180°C) for about 10 minutes, or until they are fully baked.
Sprinkle the chocolate drop butter biscuits with powdered sugar if desired.
