How to make
Cut the onion into small cubes, the garlic finely, grate the carrot on a fine grater and cut the cabbage into small and thin strips.
Heat the olive oil in a deep pan on the stove over medium heat.
Fry the onion for about 3 minutes, until it softens. Add the grated carrot, garlic and spices and mix. Cook for another 5 minutes and add the cabbage.
Stir well again to mix the ingredients.
Add tomato sauce and vegetable broth. Leave the dish to boil at a low temperature for about 30 minutes.
Finally add the white beans and mix well. Cook the lean cabbage with beans for about 5 more minutes.
Serve the cabbage with beans, sprinkled with freshly chopped parsley, if desired.
