Ingredients

  • beans - 1.1 lb (500 g)
  • onion - 2 onions
  • garlic - 4 - 5 cloves
  • dried sweet peppers - 2 pcs.
  • carrots - 2 pcs.
  • tomatoes - 0.9 lb (400 g)
  • vegetable broth - 2 pcs.
  • olive oil - 5 - 6 tbsp.
  • paprika
  • mint
  • savory herb
  • baking soda - 1 tsp.
  • salt

How to make

Soak the beans from the night before in water.

Put them to boil and once they start boiling, add a teaspoon of baking soda and boil them for 10 minutes. Then wash the beans well and transfer them into the clay pot.

Add olive oil, 2 chopped onions, 2 carrots, a few cloves of garlic, 2 dried sweet peppers (crumbled), 2 vegetable broths, 0.9 lb (400 g) diced tomatoes, mint, savory herb, paprika and as much salt as you desire.

Stir everything well and add water until it covers the beans well.

Bake them at 250°F (120 degrees) for 4 hours.
