How to make
Beat the egg with a fork. Add the oil and honey to it and mix, until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
Put the spelt flour in another bowl and add the baking powder, finely grated orange peel, dry ginger and a pinch of salt. Stir well.
Combine the dry and wet ingredients and knead into a soft dough.
Tear walnut-sized pieces from the dough. Form them into balls, then flatten them between your palms.
Arrange the biscuits onto a tray lined with parchment paper.
On half I made a pattern with a fork and on the rest I placed a walnut.
Heat the oven to 340°F (170°C) and leave them to bake for about 10 minutes, until they are slightly golden on the edges.
Delicious and healthy whole grain biscuits with spelt flour.
From this amount, 20 pieces of whole grain biscuits were obtained.
