How to make
In a large bowl, put the sifted flour with a pinch of salt, baking powder and vanilla.
Add the powdered sugar, the egg and the cold butter (cut into pieces).
Knead a soft and buttery dough. Divide it into two equal parts.
To one part, add 1 tbsp. of sifted cocoa and mix, until an even color is obtained.
Wrap both parts in cling film and refrigerate for 1 hour.
From the cooled dough, tear small pieces and shape balls.
Place them on a tray lined with baking paper.
Bake the ball butter cookies at 360°F (180°C) in a preheated oven for 10 minutes and then cool them on a wire rack.
Stick them two by two (different colors) with chocolate spread.

Note: You can color part of the dough with red food coloring and make a third color as well.
