Ingredients

  • cabbage - about 3.3 lb (1.5 kg)
  • oil - 2/5 cup (100 ml)
  • tomato paste - 5 tbsp.
  • garlic - 3 cloves
  • salt
  • sweet paprika
  • cayenne pepper
  • parsley

How to make

The cabbage, which has been cleaned and washed, is cut into medium-sized pieces, it is sprinkled with salt, 3 1/3 tbsp (50 ml) of the oil and 2 cups of water are poured and it is placed on the stove to boil, until it softens.

Heat the rest of the oil in a saucepan, add the sweet paprika and cayenne pepper (optional), in order for it to fry briefly, then add it to the cabbage.

Add the tomato paste, finely chopped garlic and add warm water.

The stewed cabbage is left to boil for about 10 minutes on a low heat on the stove.

After it is turned off, the cabbage with tomato stew is sprinkled with chopped parsley.
