How to make
Beat the butter and sugar with the mixer, until a white mixture is obtained, add the eggs one by one, followed by the milk and the essence.
The flour, cocoa and baking powder are sifted and added in portions, while stirring with a spatula.
Pour half of the finished mixture into the sponge cake mold, add the pitted cherries and pour the rest of the sponge cake mixture on top.
Bake the cherry sponge cake at 340°F (170°C) for about 55 minutes.
Check it with a skewer.
The finished sponge cake is turned over into a suitable plate and decorated with melted (in the microwave) white chocolate, which is poured into a disposable piping bag.
